At Arooda, we believe that the world is saturated with 'scientific thinking'. We have forgotten that Science must receive its directions from Philosophy, that Technology must receive its instructions from Science, and that Philosophy must ultimately answer to our deepest, evident emotions.

Today, as I write this, we are building AI without any clue as to its broader implications on humanity just as we built Social Media a couple decades ago. We are already reeling from the ill effects of addictive technology. The makers of AI themselves are touting that the technology will make knowledge work impossible for humans.

When the order is reversed, when Technology makes Science, and Philosophy is never consulted, we destroy the fabric that holds us all together. The number of missives and manifestos written lately by tech entrepreneurs with a highly capitalist mindset shows that they are struggling to find a reason for what they are building.

When enough people have seen the futility of the current human endeavor, when a critical mass of people realize that the technology, and the science is not solving for hopelessness, for wide-spread anxiety, for emotional pain, they will turn to the same domain that our ancestors have had to - Spirituality.

I am building Arooda for people who, like me, feel the re-emergence of Spirituality. Not the kinds where you dogmatically associate with a religion but where you associate with a simple idea - we are born from the stars; and we go back to it. A minor extension of this idea is where Astrology originates.
